The riddle ... from www.eBread.org

A riddle to solve is written below,
It's a test of how much of the Bible you know.
Send this puzzle to your friends on the net,
Which one of you all, will the answer first get?

Adam, God made from just some dust,
He was created after me ... that you can trust.
I was created earlier ... before woman or man,
To fit just right in God's wise plan.

A real living being I then became,
Adam possibly gave me my name.
If so, then from him I did withdraw,
And more of me, he never saw.

I cannot my Maker's laws obey,
But I almost never go astray.
Thousands of miles I go each year,
But seldom on earth do appear.

For purposes wise, which God did see,
He put a living soul in me.
From me that soul He did claim,
And then, as created, I was the same.

Now without hands, or feet, or soul,
I travel on from pole to pole.
Fallen people, young and old,
By my death, great light behold.

No right or wrong can I conceive,
Even the Scriptures I can't believe.
Although my name is therein found,
They are to me an empty sound.

No fear of death does trouble me,
But real happiness I'll never see.
To God's heaven I shall never go,
Nor ever suffer in Hell below.

Now as these clues you slowly read,
Go search your Bible with all speed.
For in His Word I am truly there,
That to you I do declare.

Think carefully about each important clue,
Who will solve it first ... will it be you?
When finally an answer you have surmised,
Check your answer ... you may be surprised.
